As your child may have told you, the copy machine was down today, so I was unable to print out the new science point sheet. I told the kids, tho, that if they want to be busy this weekend, they could get the vocabulary cards done. Those are due Tuesday anyway. I handed out an experiment to those who were interested. I told them the poem points are still available, and that this time they have the option of writing their own or copying one from an author. It needs to be about light or colors or sound and it must be at least 8 lines long.
Bible verses are also an option again. They must be about light or sound or seeing or hearing, without using any they may have used last time. A new rule is that they need to underline the part of the verse that goes with this unit. As before, they are worth 2 points each, and they can get up to 10 points that way.
They only need 105 points to get an A, 125 to get a prize, so there is not nearly as much work involved. Most of it is done in class, and the projects should be fun, I hope.
I told the kids I might try to post the point sheet here, but I am not sure I remember how to do that. We'll see.
